Feast of the Epiphany
Feast of the Epiphany (Three Kings)
Celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany, also known as the Feast of the Three Kings, on January 6, 2025, at 6:30 AM at the Cathedral of Saint Michael, Kalibo. This sacred Eucharistic Mass commemorates the revelation of Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world and honors the journey of the Magi who followed the star to worship the newborn King.
The Meaning of Epiphany
The Feast of the Epiphany marks the manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles, represented by the Three Kings—Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar. Their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh symbolize Jesus’ kingship, divinity, and sacrifice. This feast reminds us of the universal nature of Christ’s mission and invites us to reflect on our own journey of faith and worship.
Highlights of the Eucharistic Mass
This Holy Mass will include:
- Sacred Scripture Readings: Reflecting on the story of the Magi and the significance of their visit to the Christ Child. The readings will inspire us to seek Christ with the same faith and devotion.
- Uplifting Hymns: Joyful songs of worship, led by the cathedral choir, to honor the King of Kings and celebrate His revelation to the world.
- Holy Eucharist: A sacred moment to receive the body and blood of Christ, deepening our connection with Him as the Light of the world.
