Topic: Strengthening the Inner Man.
Ephesians 3:14-16 – For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.
How to Strengthen the Inner Man
1.) Worship
John 4:24 – God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
Isaiah 40:31 – But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
2 Corinthians 3:18 – But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2.) The Word of God
Matthew 4:4 – But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”
Acts 20:32 – “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
Meditating on what God says.
3.) Prayer
Mark 11:23-24 – For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
1 Corinthians 14:4 – He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
Jude 20 – But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit
4.) Fellowship with one another.
Proverbs 27:17 – As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
