Truly, the word LOVE is already overused. But it is stated on the bible that “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast… always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres and that Love never fails.”
God’s Love is indeed everlasting and essential by giving His Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Even though we are sinners, He never flounders to continually give us grace and never ending affection. With this, how are we going to respond to His substantial love?
One way of showing our love to God is by obeying Him faithfully. John 14:15 says, “If you love me, you will obey me.” By doing so, we must humbly submit to His commandments because obedience is also a form of love.
Moreover, one manner of responding to God’s love is by serving Him. As His people, we must also let God take dominion over our lives and use our talents for His kingdom. God is also working mightily on using His people for His righteous plans. Therefore, release your control for it only gives us fear and oppression; but with God, love casts out all fear.
In short, His coming also means obedience and the willingness to submit. Associating this matter during the time of Advent or the waiting for the Lord, it is necessary to be patient and apply the things that you have heard on today’s teaching. We should also repent and prepare ourselves for the kingdom of God is at hand.
