Theme: “Purified in Purpose”
Homily by Fr. Erel Villanueva

“We should know our purpose just as Jesus knew His purpose.”

“As we know God, we will also know our purpose in life. We are all created with a purpose.”

Isaiah 40:21-31

1 Corinthians 9:16-23

Psalm 147:1-4; 15-18

Mark  1:32-39

1.(v.32-34) – is the fulfillment of Jesus’ purpose – to bring the Kingdom to the people.

2.(v.35-39) – to know our purpose and how to fulfill it; our attitudes matter.

“We will know our purpose through praying and seeking God.”

John 6:26-27 – Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

Ephesians 1:11 – In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will
